Laidlaw Scholarship Success!
Yoshino Homma, first year student of Italian, Spanish and IR, has been awarded a prestigious place on the two-year Laidlaw Scholarship Programme in Leadership and Research to contribute to ‘Retelling Medieval Tales’ by studying ‘Storytelling and the Global Middle Ages’. In year one of her scholarship Yoshino will be researching the translation of medieval Spanish chivalric stories into English (e.g. Los Siete Infantes de Lara) and their availability to younger readers.
